November is autumn in Türkiye. İstanbul can be cool with occasional rain, while Antalya remains pleasantly mild and sunny. Pack layers and always carry a light rain jacket in İstanbul.
Business formal — suits, blazers, professional attire. Smart and polished.
Smart casual — cocktail dresses, blazers with chinos, loafers. Elegant but relaxed.
Black-tie / formal evening wear — tuxedos, evening gowns, traditional Nigerian formal attire (agbada, aso oke) also very welcome and celebrated.
Comfortable walking shoes, layers, and a scarf. Modest clothing recommended for mosque visits (shoulders and knees covered; head scarves provided at entrances for women).
Casual resort wear — swimwear, sundresses, shorts, comfortable sandals.
Everything you need for a smooth and enjoyable visit
Turkish Lira (TRY). USD and EUR widely accepted in tourist areas. ATMs everywhere. Credit cards accepted at most places.
Turkish is the official language. English is widely spoken in hotels, restaurants, and tourist areas in İstanbul and Antalya.
İstanbul has metro, tram, ferries, and taxis. Get an İstanbulkart for public transport. Airport transfers included in your Convention package.
Türkiye is a safe and welcoming destination. İstanbul and Antalya are major tourist cities with strong security infrastructure. Use common-sense precautions.
Nigerian passport holders must apply for a visa at the Turkish Embassy or Consulate in their country of residence. E-visa is not available for Nigerian passports. Confirmed delegates will receive an official invitation letter from NIDO Europe to support their visa application.
Tipping is customary — 10-15% at restaurants, round up for taxis, and small tips for hotel staff. Service charge is sometimes included.
